The case is closed. Five years ago, schoolgirl Andie Bell was murdered by Sal Singh. The police know he did it. Everyone in town knows he did it.

But having grown up in the same small town that was consumed by the murder, Pippa Fitz-Amobi isn't so sure. When she chooses the case as the topic for her final year project, she starts to uncover secrets that someone in town desperately wants to stay hidden. And if the real killer is still out there, how far will they go to keep Pip from the truth?

Pippa Fitz-Amobi has been intrigued about the mystery of Andie Bell for as long as she can remember. So much so, that she has decided to make it the subject of her senior capstone project. The capstone project is required of all seniors at her school as a way to showcase their skills before they graduate.

Admittedly, I would be more then a little nervous if I was Pippa’s teacher and she came to me with solving a murder as the subject of her project. Pippa never does anything halfway so she is very thorough when it comes to how she tackles this project. It’s been five years since the alleged crime initially occurred so to say the trail is cold would be an understatement. So, how much trouble could she get into? As it turns out, quite a lot!

I strongly suggest you pick up this novel as soon as you are able. Not just because it is one of my very few five-star reviews, but also because it is SUCH a good mystery. Being that it is done as part of a school project makes the telling of the story more interesting. One of the aspects being journal entries where she sums up what she knows thus far as well as ponder questions she has like possible motives or how truthful she believes someone is being. Plus I also enjoyed the aspects of the novel related to Sal Singh’s brother, Ravi. Sal, was the boyfriend of Andie Bell and someone who everyone in town believes committed the crime. Ravi is looking to clear his name, Have you read this book? What did you think?
