REVIEW: The Exact Opposite of Okay four-stars

Bullying is one situation no matter what generation you were born within that every person must contend with at one time or another.

Izzy has never had the easiest life. She lost both of her parents in a tragic accident and lives with her grandmother. Despite the tragedies in her life Izzy has always tried to look for the silver lining in life. Especially when it comes to humor. So much so that her aspiration is to become and comedian. She has always had a knack for making people laugh and figures it is the most logical career choice. Thanks to the help of a teacher who over the years she has developed a friendship with she is even submitting some of her work to a writing contest to see how it fairs.

Along with being funny Izzy is also very honest so I say that if you decide to read this novel be prepared that she has very frank discussions and situations she finds herself in regarding sex. So if that type of content makes you uncomfortable then I would not read this novel. If it is something you can handle however I do not believe it takes away from the story. The honesty made sense to me as it was a part of Izzy’s character as a person so of course, she would be very outspoken about it.

Will that same humor help her deal with the internet trolls she comes in contact with due to the malicious blog about her? Guess you will have to read to find out!
